Una escuela de Chile instala paneles solares gracias al reciclaje de redes de pesca

En una localidad de Chile, un colegio ha conseguido una instalación de ocho paneles solares gracias al reciclaje de 26 toneladas de redes de pesca. Esta iniciativa nace del programa que desarrolla la ictícola local Camanchaca y la empresa Bureo.

La escuela Víctor Domingo Silva, ubicada en la comuna chilena de Coronel en la región de Biobío, instaló los paneles fotovoltaicos para energizar el laboratorio de Ciencias. Además, el programa busca que se pueda proveer iluminación y tendido eléctrico para ahorrar 400 mil pesos chilenos (uno 450 dólares); y, también, ayudar a los cortes de electricidad que se suceden en invierno.

Este nuevo programa se enmarca dentro del proyecto internacional denominado «Net Positiva», que busca impulsar trabajos socioambientales a través del reciclaje de redes de pesca, para convertirlos en objetos de segunda vida.

En este proyecto enmarcado dentro de «Net Positiva» se pueden encontrar compañías pesqueras grandes y pequeños sindicados de pesca artesanal. Gracias al reciclaje de residuos se genera un fondo económico que ayuda a paliar los gastos, en este caso, de la instalación de los panales fotovoltaicos.
